# How to share your petition and post updates

Sharing your petition and keeping supporters informed are the most effective ways to build momentum for your cause. Your dashboard offers dedicated tools to help you reach a wider audience online and offline, while maintaining engagement with your signers through regular updates.

# Sharing your petition

To start promoting your cause, navigate to the **Share petition** page. This dashboard provides multiple ways to distribute your petition and reach potential signers:

- **Share online**: Use the direct sharing buttons for Facebook, WhatsApp, X, and Email, or copy your unique link to post manually on other platforms.

- **Share in person**: Download a QR code or printable posters to raise awareness in your local community.

- **Promote**: You can also use the promotion features to chip in and reach people outside your immediate network.

# Posting updates

Posting updates is a powerful way to turn signers into active supporters. Updates are emailed directly to all your signers and appear publicly on your petition page.

1. From the navigation menu on the left, select **Post an update**. You can also access the **Contact decision makers** tool from this menu to target specific leaders.

2. On the update creation page, draft your message title and content. If you need assistance, use the **Generate suggested draft** feature to create an update based on your current progress, or select one of the suggested topics like asking supporters to share with friends.
