# Creating a new article or record in Pageloop

Keeping your help center aligned with your evolving product is simple. With Pageloop, you can capture live workflows directly from your interface or draft guides manually from scratch. This guide walks you through the initial steps of [creating](#Option-1-Record-Flow-aa761) a new article or record in Pageloop.

# Initiating article creation

To begin creating a new article or record, navigate to your Pageloop dashboard and follow these steps:

1. Click the **New** button located in the sidebar navigation.

2. Select either **Record Flow** or **Create Manual** depending on your preferred workflow.

# Choosing your creation path

Depending on your goals, you can choose between an automated, recording-based workflow or a classic manual draft.

# Option 1: Record Flow

The Record Flow feature is a highly efficient way to capture real-time product actions. By using the Pageloop Chrome extension, you can record a workflow and automatically generate an article draft complete with step-by-step instructions and extracted media.

When you select Record Flow, you will choose the browser tab you want to capture, click through the feature as a user would, and then stop the recording to generate your draft. # Option 2: Create Manual
