How to report policy violations
Learn how to report petitions and comments that violate Community Guidelines on Change.org.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for our community. If you encounter a petition or comment that violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, you can report it directly to our team for review.
Reporting a petition
If you believe a petition infringes on platform policies, you can flag it directly from the petition page.

Scroll to the bottom of the petition's main text and click on the Report a policy violation link.

A Report abuse dialog will appear. Select the reason that best describes the violation, such as "Misleading or spam" or "Abusive or hateful."

Provide a detailed explanation in the text box to assist our staff in reviewing the content, then click Submit.
Reporting a comment
You can also flag individual comments that appear under a petition.

Scroll down to the Supporter Voices section to view comments from other users.

Locate the specific comment you wish to report and click the Report button next to it.

In the dialog box that appears, choose the reason for reporting the comment and provide any necessary context.

Click Submit to finalize your report.
Next steps
Once submitted, your report is sent to our team for review. We assess all flagged content against our Community Guidelines to determine the appropriate action.
