What is this
Generate Article is a Pageloop feature that creates a draft Article from a Flow.
Why does it matter
The Generate Article feature allows you to document complex workflows automatically without writing drafts manually. Converting your browser-based actions directly into structured documentation ensures that your customer-facing instructions match the actual product behavior.
When should I use it
Use the Generate Article feature when you identify a Content Gap in your Knowledge Base (KB) or when a new product release requires a new Article. The Generate Article feature is useful when you need to document step-by-step procedures in your Workspace.
Before you begin
Before you can generate an Article, you must meet the following requirements:

Install the Pageloop Chrome extension in your browser. See Getting Started with Pageloop for installation instructions.

Log in to your Pageloop Workspace.

Record a Flow of the workflow you want to document.

Configure your Workspace settings. If you want to use a specific layout, you can set up an Article template by following the guide on Using Article Templates.
Follow these steps to generate your documentation.
How does it work
To generate an Article from a Flow, complete the following steps:

Navigate to the Pageloop dashboard in your Workspace.

Select the Articles tab from the navigation menu.

Click Generate Article from the top toolbar.

Select the recorded Flow from the list of available recordings.

Select a template from the Template dropdown menu if you want to apply a specific format.

Click Generate Draft to start the generation process.
After you complete these steps, Pageloop will begin processing your Flow.
What happens next
After Pageloop processes the Flow, Pageloop creates a draft Article in your Workspace. You can review the draft Article, edit the text, and add or remove images. To learn more about managing your drafts, see Understanding Pageloop Articles and Updates. Once the draft Article is complete, you can publish the Article to your KB. If the product changes in the future, use Find Updates to identify necessary changes to your published Articles.
